should be easy, as we already allow settings 400% as a fixed "forced Volume, which also isn't complex.

looking clean

Only an odd number might have a deeper reason.
its about how much really has an effect
You can use a decibel dB measurement app:

real volume (measured in dB) ?% ?% ?% ?%
"boost" "150%" "200%" "300%" "10000%"
real volume ("guess", fanatasy) 140% 160% 170% 174.32%

The slider could be labled with both units, but the linear path (, pixels, steps) should depend on the real effect.
(while the most that actually works on most computers will average at an odd number)

odd number

different: forced speed ( default playback speed )

  • this slider should range from ~ 0.5x to ~ 2.75x - Because other values are NO fun to use permanently, near impossible to understand. Nobody will do permanently. (if 1 in a billion people has the special ability to mostly understand at 5x, they can enter it by keyboard)

250% with buttons is the good option, but i sometimes i like go higher. sliders in others "volume boosters" go up to 600%
