This post outlines our targets for the upcoming iteration. The goal is to provide a summary of where we are going.

New features / enhancements

• Introducing accessible input labels - merged 🎉
• Inserting images by pasting the URL directly into the editor - merged 🎉
• Multiline (wrapping) toolbar - merged 🎉
• Implementing editor.focus() - merged 🎉
• Allow adding plugins to a CKEditor 5 build - this will span across more than 1 iteration.

Bug fixes

• Multiple issues with the list and list style feature - merged 🎉
• Follow-ups for the raw HTML embed feature - merged 🎉
• Image resize outline flickers when pasting an image - merged 🎉
• The supportAllValues option in the font feature doesn't work with nested elements - merged 🎉
• Selecting an image from bottom to top throws exceptions in Firefox - merged 🎉
• Select All does not select all with blockquote and table - merged 🎉
• Pasting plain text on link breaks link - merged 🎉
• Editor crashes after inserting a link with the same href just after the link - merged 🎉

Finally, there are some more bug fixes and minor improvements planned for the 38th iteration. See the list of issues assigned to the current iteration for more details.

Dates

The code freeze is planned for December 3, 2020, followed by releasing npm packages on December 9, 2020.

Please keep in mind that these plans are subject to change and even though we put all our energy to deliver all the items mentioned above, the iteration plan may change at any point.
