Pasted image isn't uploaded

I am able to drag and drop image on CKEditor5. Also I am able to add image using Image button on toolbar. But we are not able to paste image on editor. Nothing happens when I try to paste image on editor. Can you guide us on this please.

Please describe specific steps how and from where do you copy an image, what's your OS, what's the browser and whether you can reproduce it on https://ckeditor.com/ckeditor-5/

Steps I am performing are below:

1. Going to folder on my windows-7 machine at specific path in C: drive.
2. There is a folder in C: drive which is having all the images for me more specifically .jpg files.
3. I just copy one of the image from there.
4. Come to my React application where CK5 editor is integrated which I am browsing on Google Chrome.
5. While Editor is focused and cursor inside editor, I press ctrl+v but nothing happens other than screen flicker slightly.
   06 No Exception in Console, No network request is going to URL mentioned, nothing happens at all.

Happy to share is any further info required. Please point me in some direction which I can try to make it work.

That's a browser/OS issue. AFAIK that file is not available in the clipboard if it was copied from the disk like this. Although, it may be worth checking whether I'm correct and also to confirm it with CKEditor 4 guys.

Yes, this issue is not related to CKEditor 5. It was investigated by CKEditor 4 team and you can read whole discussion here - ckeditor/ckeditor4#1536.

I'm not sure what was causing this issue, but there's a chance that it got fixed by ckeditor/ckeditor5-image#248. @Mgsy, could you recheck this?

I've rechecked this issue and it seems that everything works fine on OS X. Unfortunately, the problem still exists on Windows.

Hi, Any solution to this problem for Windows yet. I am having the same problem and its urgent for me to fix. The image copy paste upload is working fine with MacOS but it is not working Windows. Please let me know if we have got any solution to this problem yet.!

I'm having this issue as well, it works on OS X and when I copy/paste images from Word in Windows, but not from Windows File Explorer. Is there any workaround for this issue at least?
