📃 Iteration 50 roadmap

This post outlines our targets for the upcoming iteration. The goal is to provide a summary of where we are going.

New features / enhancements

• Support for advanced lists (document lists) - this will span across a few iterations
• Redesign and introduce a new reconversion system - this will span across a few iterations
• Real-time collaboration support in revision history
• Migration to Node 14 - merged 🎉
• Upgrade the environment to use webpack 5 - merged 🎉
• Support for list start and reversed attributes, including when pasting from Word - merged 🎉
• Support for autocomplete with space in the mention plugin - merged 🎉
• Handling <script> elements in General HTML support (GHS) feature - merged 🎉

Finally, there are some more bug fixes and minor improvements planned for the 50th iteration. See the list of issues assigned to the current iteration for more details.

Dates

The code freeze is planned for January 19th, 2022, followed by releasing npm packages on January 31st, 2022.

Please keep in mind that these plans are subject to change and even though we put all our energy to deliver all the items mentioned above, the iteration plan may change at any point.
