Introduction

Give residents content that’s simple, friendly, and people-oriented

Austin residents and visitors desire an easy, helpful and productive interaction with their local government through all digital channels. Our job is to deliver quality content to our residents.

Rather than creating digital services based on organizational structure, hierarchy and assumptions, we will use user research to understand user needs and build digital services that center on the most important part of the City: the public.

This style guide will direct the City of Austin in this new approach to provide digital services, making us more open, accessible, empathetic and effective as a City.
