Chuck

Utensils/Kitchenware

Core

  • 1/2 cup
  • 1 tbsp
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 12 inch cast iron skillet
  • hand mixer or whisk

Optional

  • 1 cup
  • 1 tsp

Ingredients

Wet

  • 250g butter (1 cup)
  • 220g brown sugar (1 cup)
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla

Dry

  • 150g all purpose flour (1 cup)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 300g old-fashioned oats (rolled, not quick) (3 cups)

Fudge

  • 3/4 can condensed milk (1 can = 395g)
  • 200g dark baking chocolate (1 cup)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Steps

Dough

  1. Mix flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder in bowl
  2. Soften butter
  3. Mix butter and brown sugar in large bowl
  4. Add vanilla and egg, whisk
  5. Add dry stuff from bowl to large bowl, whisk
  6. Add oats, whisk

Fudge

  1. Mix butter, condensed milk, and chocolate in bowl
  2. Microwave in 30 second intervals until melted (stir after!)
  3. Add vanilla, mix

Final

  1. Get 3/4 of dough and spread out over skillet
  2. Pour fudge over dough
  3. Maybe add some more flour to the remaining 1/4 if it's too wet
  4. Crumble remaining 1/4 over fudge
  5. Oven to 180C
  6. Bake for 15 mins
  7. Remove and let cool
