When I query curl -s "https://wttr.in/DRS?m&lang=en&format=%t+(%f),+%h,+%w,+%P,+%C+(%p/3h)&d", I get

+8°C (+8°C), 93%, ↘4km/h, 1019hPa, Clear (0.0mm/3h)

Especially, I get a for the wind direction.

I am going to use the query to display the result on a Linux text console (no graphical environment) without unicode font (OpenWrt router with attached display).

The arrows, but also characters like , cannot be displayed there.

So I hereby wish for a mode that uses verbal representations for the directions, like "NW".

Regards!
