What happened?

I'm trying to use Chroma with Supabase-py, and it's incompatible due to chromadb 0.4.2 depends on pydantic<2.0 and >=1.9. Is this something you're set on? Any thoughts about updating Pydantic?

Using the latest version might be what's easiest to keep compatibility with other packages.

Versions

Chroma 0.4.4, Python 3.11, Ubuntu WSL

@cachho pydantic 2 brings a lot of very large changes - there is an issue open on it and someone taking a look #893. backwards compatibility is ideal.
