Opens a new tab to consent-o-matic preference page every time I do a search

Since yesterday, every time i do a search, before i hit enter, it would open a new tab and go to the preference page.

It could be this option that's causing issues. Toggles back on by itself every time

Which browser version and platform is this on? It is supposed to do this exactly once upon installation (to allow people to set up their preferences) - not over and over.
