Windows users struggle to get the bat file to work. Problems first noted in #14 include:

  • Need more guidance for running the software on Windows when Anaconda is not on the PATH.
  • Determine why Windows does not launch the GUI the first time the batch script is run.
  • Add a note about the warning Windows shows about running a batch script from an unknown publisher.

Users have difficulty with the Windows launch script. We may want to update setup.md to recommend launching from the Anaconda Prompt as the primary option.

This was again a problem during the April 2019 workshop. We should only recommend running the install scripts from the command line.
