Code Font Ligatures On/Off

Dear Caret team,

Can you please add a preference option to control the enablement of the code font ligatures?

I am currently using Phoenica Pro font and it comes with some ligatures that I don't like: f and i chars are stored in one single space, see the last line in the screenshot below, and also breaks the design of the markdown table.
