The problem

It would be very beneficial to have a way to freeze table headings so that users still have an indication about the table contents when they are scrolling down. Specifically for very long tables, this is very important.

We're using DataTable from carbon, there is already a prop to control table freeze but that happens for fixed height. the feature requested to freeze table headings on top without any fixed height.

The solution

Requested to add a new prop that can fix the headings on top without any hard set height for tables. Ecspecially for very long tables like https://test.cloud.ibm.com/docs/vmwaresolutions?topic=vmwaresolutions-iam_vcd&interface=ui

Examples

Something like this on the codepen https://css-tricks.com/position-sticky-and-table-headers/
