This week, we're sharing more about our first release candidate along with our plans for our second release candidate. We'll also share more about our research and migration process.
Agenda
Release Candidates
Our first release candidate was shipped at the end of January. We're currently in the process of addressing bug fixes that were identified for this release along with audits and writing migration material.
Our next release candidate is scheduled for February 24th, 2022 and it is expected to be the final release candidate for this cycle.
Research
We're in the process of reaching out to PAL, framework, and library teams at IBM to better understand where they are at in the process and to try and coordinate our own releases with these teams.
If you're interested in helping us out, please let us know! This includes any product teams that would like to get involved.
Migration
For the migration process, we're going through the process of writing out the v11 reference guide Link. This is a living document that captures all changes for this release.
We are also expanding the capabilities of our migration tooling to include support for codemods and have experimental support for doing Sass-based codemods, as well.
Much of what we would like to automate depends on feedback we get from you. If you encounter a situation that you feel like would be great to automate, let us know!
