v18	v18 codebase will be updated to r140 on July 22 and moved into a steady state. Existing adapters may continue as is. New adopters can start with v18 if they need to spin up before January 1, 2020.	For v18 adopters, please view detail here
v19a	All new pages and experiences need to be built with v19a. In the second half of 2019, IBM Digital Design is undergoing another transformation to integrate with Carbon Design System, the IBM design system based on IBM Design Language, which will make one IBM Design System across all web and product interactions. During this transformation, ibm.com specific components will become part of Carbon. Expressive themes and new patterns will be made available as well as examples and guidelines. v19a codebase will be frozen effective July 1, 2019. Existing adopters can continue as is. No new adopters of v19a due to limited resources to support adoption. Updates for Drupal developers and adopters will be coming soon and announced via the #ibm-digital-design Slack channel under IBM Cognitive Applications.	For v19 adopters, please view detail here
Carbon	Carbon is the official implementation of the IBM Design Language for product and web designers, and represents an ever-growing ecosystem of design assets and guidance. Carbon is built by developers, for developers. The front-end libraries are continuously maintained and fully supported by the core Carbon team (and an army of open-source contributors).
