A guide to fancy text markup supported by the Kobold Lite webUI

These strings take the place of your name and the AI's assigned name, respectively.

This automatic replacement can be enabled or disabled in the advanced settings tab.

Text Style Formatting

Lite allows you to use a somewhat standardized markup format to display different text styles, similar to reddit or discord. Exactly how Lite renders the markup depends on which theme you are using.

Headings

Large heading text can be generated by sticking a number of hashes in front of the line.

Lists

Simple bullet point lists can be generated by prepending each line with * . Numbered lists require a 1. .

Code Blocks

Sticking three backticks above and below a series of lines will turn those lines into a raw code block.

Smaller sections within a line can be designated as code by using a single backtick on either end of the string.

Raw HTML

Prepending a line with 4 or more spaces (or a TAB) will display the raw HTML markup what the UI would normally render.
