use transaction id in imported csv file?

In the CSV file that my bank exports, there is a column that contains a unique transaction-id. Would it be a lot of work to add the possibility to make the duplicate-checking mechanism use this field? Maybe add an option to the field mapping dropdown, just like you can map the amount? This would be awesome in our specific case :-)
