Thanks @osma for the reference (NatLibFi/Annif#593). I quickly checked https://github.com/pemistahl/lingua-py

# Including all languages available in the library
# consumes approximately 3GB of memory and might

LanguageDetectorBuilder.from_all_languages()

This sounds like a serious limitation compared to the CLD3 even if the library is a bit better and more accurate.
