Can't login to Admin page and need further improvement #2
Comments
Thanks @axisdos, really good ideas! I'll be implementing these as soon as possible... By the way, about the Admin page, it's still under development and is a quite sensitive part and I want to make sure that everything is working properly. This is high priority! ;) |
Hey, how is the script going? |
Hello @axisdos! Some features currently under development:
I hope to release the first public beta in January... I'm open for new ideas!! ;) |
Great. You are doing awesome job and I hope you keep on doing that. And please implement a useful text editor with features to upload images and all that. Did you see XenForo text editor for post? I'm hoping you can add something like that. |
As far as I remember, XenForo uses a WYSIWYG editor, right? Well... Now, I'm using markdown syntax for posts (like * for italic, ** for bold, ~~ for strikethrough, [[ ]] for links, and so on). At the very beginning I was using BBCode (the famous and infamous But sounds nice! I'll do some tests in a few days, and see what I can do with a full-featured WYSIWYG editor. ;) |
Yes, thank you. Please let me know how it goes |
Nice. I've used this editor before and it works great. However, doesn't have that much options and flexibility like http://ckeditor.com/. I think you should check out CKEditor. I've downloaded the latest version from Github and experiencing some issues. When I go to user profile, forum link, etc I received 404 errors. Not sure what's going on there. About the current forum design of addictive-community, it looks quite like IPB, XenForo, PHPBB, etc. I'm not talking about a specific part just trying to say that the styling are somewhat like typical forum. I hope you could design a better and easier looking design for this piece of software. |
@axisdos Are you running on Apache or IIS? I still need to code the Web.Config file for IIS. About the forum design, I tried to get rid of the ordinary "table-td-tr-like" design... I'm not an interface designer, nor UX designer, so I don't have enough ideas to make it different... I'll do my research, if you have some inspirational images or concepts, feel free to send it to me! ;) |
@brunnopleffken I used Siteground hosting and also tried the WAMP Server localhost and received the same issues. I will try to have a design concept for you soon. Stay tuned for that :) |
I like the idea and style of this forum script. However, further improvements need to be made.
When I tried to login into the admin page, it showed:
Not Found. The requested URL /add/admin/auth.php was not found on this server.
Plus, could you please add SEO friendly url, auto generate meta description accordin to the post content instead of homepage description. Also, add canonical tag too. Thanks
