I have recently used ReCiPe 2016 (as implemented in this repo) with ei 3.9 as background dataset. What makes you think that the repo is obsolete ?

But I first came here to point that unfortunately the add_recipe_2016() function doesn't seem compatible with version 0.9.DEV29 of bw2io and its new function import_ecoinvent_release()

Hi @cyclochlo, because ei 3.9 comes with its own implementation of ReCiPe 2016.
