Description:

Rewards onboarding is not shown for existing user on non-ads region

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Set device to non-ads region
  2. Install 1.12.1 do not enable rewards
  3. Upgrade to 1.13
  4. No rewards onboarding is shown

Actual result:
Rewards onboarding is not shown for existing user on non-ads region

Expected result:
Should show rewards onboarding if its not enabled in previous versions

Reproduces how often: [Easily reproduced, Intermittent Issue]
Easy

Brave Version:
1.13(19.10.21.22)

Device details:
All

Website problems only:

  • did you check with Brave Shields down?
  • did you check in Safari/Firefox (WkWebView-based browsers)?
