Description

With only one profile set up, if I middle-click on an existing Brave window on my system taskbar a new browser window opens, as expected. If I add a second profile, instead of a new browser window popping up, a profile selection window pops up. So far that makes sense.

However, when I choose which profile I want to use, if there is already a browser window open with that profile, it simply makes that window the active window, without creating a new window or even a new tab -- which was the goal of the middle click.

Note that if you uncheck the box to 'show this every time' in the profile selection window, then this problem goes away (of course, you then don't get the option of which profile to use).

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create second profile in Brave browser
  2. Open a Brave browser window
  3. Middle-click the open window on the taskbar
  4. In the profile selection window that appears, select the profile corresponding to the open window

Actual result:

Focus switches to the already-open window.

Expected result:

New window opens using the selected profile, regardless of whether other windows using that profile are already open.

Reproduces how often:

Every time

This is a useful feature, but if it gets added, I want to be able to revert back to the current focus-switching behavior.
