Checklist

  • I have filled out the template to the best of my ability.
  • This only contains 1 feature request (if you have multiple feature requests, open one feature request for each feature request).
  • This issue is not a duplicate feature request of previous feature requests.

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

I just added a device with subprofiles and PC discovered them. Now, to identify which of the discovered sub-devices is handling which function there is no way to tell (see screenshot). One is actually for the RGB and the other for a white light.

Image

It would be nice to somehow be able to tell which is what.

Secondly, I hope this is not a second feature request, with long device names it is not possible to read them completely because they are ending with "..." missing sometimes vital parts of the device name.

Image

I think both can be handled by the same fix, hopefully.

Describe the solution you'd like

Line break for the device name and additional information for subprofiles.

Describe alternatives you've considered

none

Additional context

none

That's up to the user to select the correct sub profile in the configuration wizard, we don't know at this point in time.
However I don't understand why no entity name is shown. What is the 0x54..... code in your case? Also it's the same for both, should be the two different entity names.

Secondly, I hope this is not a second feature request, with long device names it is not possible to read them completely because they are ending with "..." missing sometimes vital parts of the device name.

This can't be "fixed" as it's core frontend functionality, it will truncate that info when it's too long. Can't put line breaks in the config entry name unfortunately.
I might put some additional info on first screen after you click configure, but I think most relevant info should be there already.
