MacOS refuses to start application

When downloading the dmg from Github, the application will not start. However, installing the dmg directly works fine.

I have no idea what the problem is, but here's a workaround:
After installing the application, open terminal (hit ⌘+SPACE to open spotlight, type terminal, hit enter) and type the following command and hit enter:
xattr -rc /Applications/Dotify\ Studio.app/

After this, the application should open.
