There should be some simple guides/screencasts target what are considered the target use cases. This is what I'm thinking.

Basic usage (exporitory and exporting scripts)
Working with REST apis (github)

Unless this is done closer to 1.0, when the interface is really stable, a text format that be modified would be preferable than a screencast.
