go to google maps, try to upload a photo for a review

This is the screen i get, after i pressed upload and selectd my image and pressed ok.

This error doesn't happen on the google Chrome browser. i can upload a photo from there.

Seems to work for me on OS X 10.9.5, Chromium Legacy 124.0.6367.207.1. Is it possible to share more details about your system? Are there any logs in the OS X system console, or the Chromium Javascript console?

In addition, can you find a less "public" way to reproduce this than Google Maps? Google Maps accepted my test image (a screenshot of my desktop, nothing private, but not a location photo) immediately after upload and said it will be public soon; I'd expected there to be a confirmation dialog where I could press cancel.

i don't know a less "public" way to test this, i guess you can always use an alternate google account if you really have to.

here is my system:

Thanks, I'm pretty sure official Google Chrome supports Big Sur, you shouldn't need to use Chromium Legacy!

yes you are right, but i need a second chromium based browser and chromium legacy is great for that, since it is very close to the original.

i hope the issue gets fixed, let me know if you need more info.

You could just use actual upstream chromium though (public builds are available). I don't see what using chromium-legacy gives you.

can you post a link? Is it easy to install like chromium legacy?
