Proposal

In the Bisq2 project 'bisq2-web-ui', I started to write a web-ui for Bisq2. The web-ui could be used to deploy Bisq2 in a self-hosted node like Umbrel, MyNode,... they usually only accept projects with an html frontend.
If web-ui could be used for developing an android version would need to be researched further.
This proposal is suggesting to finish the work started and to develop a web-ui for the current Bisq Easy Chat functionality. In a future work the upcoming trade protocol for bisq2 can be supported, as well as self-hosted nodes and an android deployment.

Rationale

This proposals purpose is to make sure that there is enough DAO support and funds to finish the web-ui for the chat functionality.

Criteria for delivery

This proposal is completed when there is a chat web-app in the current repository. The Look and Feel (L&F) must generally follow the L&F of the desktop app. The desktop chat client has been developed over several months in 2022 and has a very slick UI. The web-ui is not intended to compete with that, rather to have a simpler UI with all main functionalities, but fewer bells and whistles.
The architecture of the web-app will stay as is. Back then, this was reviewed and accepted by chimp as a Proof of Concept.

Estimates

Timeline is to finish development until March 2023.

After finishing the development I will ask for $8K as compensation request, if the work is accepted.
