The role of a Nostr account manager is integral to the success and adoption of BISQ. By providing personalized assistance, I will bridge the gap between traditional finance and the decentralized world, making it easier for users to embrace this innovative form of trading. Their presence contributes to the development of a robust and trustworthy ecosystem, encouraging more individuals to explore the benefits of decentralized exchanges.

At first, I intend to help new users navigate the BISQ platform, by providing step-by-step guidance on account setup, security measures, and trading strategies. And also educate users about the platform's decentralized nature, emphasizing the importance of self-custody and privacy and other strategies will follow as i proceed in the field.

As BISQ continues to revolutionize peer-to-peer trading and shape the future of DeFi, I as the Nostr account manager remains at the forefront, supporting and guiding users in their cryptocurrency trading journey. With my expertise, dedication, and commitment to security, Nostr account manager play a pivotal role in establishing BISQ as a leading decentralized exchange, empowering individuals to take control of their financial sovereignty. For my own compensation, I will request $50 monthly, the money will be spent on getting steady internet to stay connected.

A Bisq nostr account was created, but not much has been done to promote it, and I don't consider it official yet: https://iris.to/bisq.network

The bad thing I found about nostr accounts is that posts can't be removed and that sharing an account is giving a copy of it, I can't revoke having control of an account.
I'm generally in favor of the proposal.

Better to have multiple Nostr accounts. That way a Bisq contributor owns each one. No sharing required. Long ago, in the Bitcointalk forums we would have Bisq_flix, Bisq_jay, Bisq_arnaud... (see here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4509053.0)

I think we should do the same thing for Nostr. More decentralized.

I don't have a clear strategy in mind... just some ideas that you can think about:

Zapvertising strategy 1:
Target 100 key Nostr users and zap them 1000 sats each.

Zapvertising strategy 2:
Target relevant hashtags like #DEX #P2P and zap any interesting notes

Zapvertising strategy 3:
Target mentions of Bisq, Robosats, HodlHodl, Peach... very focused on users already interested in P2P exchange.

Zapvertising strategy 4:
Ask for content and promise to zap it. For example "I will zap your best Bisq memes" or "I will zap your DEX tips" "I will zap images of successful trades on Bisq", "I will zap your ideas on how to improve Bisq"

Zapvertising strategy 5:
Target potential market makers, liquidity providers, traders. Look for 100 traders on centralized exchanges and try to nudge them into trying out Bisq.

Zapvertising strategy 6:
Target 1000 Nostr users and zap them 100 sats each.

Today, on the 23rd of July 2023, it has been precisely one month since I assumed the role of Nostr account manager. My primary focus remains on enhancing the account's visibility and expanding its follower base. As of now, we have accumulated a total of 23 followers, and I am actively working to attract more followers in the forthcoming days.

I see progress is slow but ongoing.

Twitter continues to increase the pressure to verify accounts and close APIs, so soon enough Nostr will become the best way to reach Bisq users.

A simple Nostr local #zapvertising strategy:

#zap123 how to earn some sats

1. Install a Nostr client (amethyst, damus)

2. Set up a lightning address

3. Post notes with #zap123 when you spend sats at X. (Pics, vids get extra!)

4. Receive sats! Spend sats!

Advertiser gets social media buzz and content.
Participants get more sats to spend.
Simple!

The Nostr community is populated by people interested in Bitcoin, privacy, free speech, censorship resistance... It's the perfect medium to reach the Bisq target audience.

It's also relatively cheap now to get to the top of the "most zapped" tranding category... so instead of paying twitter or instagram for ads, you can zap a note to give it more reach.

The note most zapped globally today only has 57k sats:

But you can get in the top 10 most zapped with just 10.000 sats! So not only is the target market a perfect fit, zapvertising is cheap!

I just zapped jayboi 25k sats. His note is now at the top 3 of most zapped globally.

So between zapping for reach and zapvertising to directly ping users... I see a lot of potential for Bisq on Nostr.

During this cycle, I experienced a boost in post engagements as usual, gained more followers (higher than the last cycle), and posted more frequently compared to the previous cycle, I was also able to gather users suggestions to improve Bisq.

User suggestions to enhance Bisq

• A UX update would be nice. The current one is extremely complicated. The best would be a headless backend with a web fronted that can be integrated in a raspiblitz or umbrel, These nodes are running all day and so I don’t have to run my PC all day for trading.

• The biggest problem with BISQ is the first sat. Going from zero to using Bisq properly is a little daunting.

• Put cash - monero pair, the single most requested BISQ feature by everyone.

• Monero is the most traded pair on bisq by a huge margin. Make it a base pair.
