Request to include API to track BTC/ARS prices at blue dollar rates #6601
Comments
Thanks for opening your first issue here! |
Hi @50egtftz # Thanks for opening this issue. I think having an BTC/ARS price that can be based the actual BTC price that comes from the blue dollar rate would be a big improvement. I am aware of a couple of potentially users from Argentina that chose not to trade on Bisq as having a fixed price was too much of a risk due to the high volatility of both BTC and ARS. Including the BTC/ARS price from exchanges that have active markets for BTC/ARS and an API to access would be a great solution to this. The fixed price was a solution to the previous issue posted here: #5581 I think Argentina, Lebanon, and Turkey would also benefit from having their prices pulled from an exchange API with those markets. |

Description
I have noticed when posting offers in ARS that there is no trigger price, or deviation % due to sites like Coingecko only using official government USD rates, which are comically wrong.
I found a site with an API which tracks the ARS/BTC price at blue dollar rates, and pulls from most if not all the local exchanges operating in Argentina. https://criptoya.com/api.
Is there any way to include this API on BISQ, so offers in ARS will start showing trigger price, and deviation %?
