bisq.log

Trying to buy BTC so this is only for taking offers.

The new fancy green version is not working for me. Last year when I last used Bisq it worked perfectly. Now I get a timeout on every trade, and yes I am on a good connection. Saw others have the same issue, I think its a bug.

Kubuntu 18.04. I exported my wallet seed and my SEPA account and let Bisq create a new config dir. I guess its expected despite the import the account seems to be treated as a less then 4 days old. Same issues. Can't take any trade, and no I do not think its because of the scammers lately. I tried many times. Seems I do not loose fees as then would end on on the transaction screens right?

Also on the new account a trader I already traded with is not recognized for the trade (symbol) so the backup is split up and not really a full backup. Why not have one backup for everything?

I tried in a windows 10 VM with the config dir copied over and the same happens, I can not take any trade. Also when I close Bisq it freezes.

From the logs it seems you have an issue with connection to the BTC network. Do you run a local full node in prunded mode? That would be a reason. Bisq require a non-pruned node if local host node is running. Can you post a screenshot of the settings/network screen?
Do you have any network restrictions or network problems? Does Tor browser work well?

No I do not have a local full node running. And I have the default network settings. And I never had any issues with tor browser but I do not use it very often.

I rebooted and shut down my vagrant-virtualbox Ubuntu VM I use for development that always runs in the background but never give me any issues, tried again and was finally able to take a trade. The same trade it failed on many times b4. Not sure if this has anything to do with the VM running. I am looking for another trade that fits what I am looking for as see if another works as well. At this time there is none that interests me.

... again. Reboot and VM shutdown did not help this time. My internet connection is fast and stable, its timing out but it has nothing to do with my connection. I just tried disabling tor but it does not work either. Connected to 12 peers and the initial sync goes relatively fast, not sure what normal there.

Could you help me reproduce the problem?
Could you describe step by step what you do and take a screenshot of the timeout message?
thanks!

1: Try to take a trade. Buy BTC with SEPA.
2: When asked about funds, I use my bisq balance, it funds instantly.
3: final confirmation times out.

I guess its not worth trying to fund from a external wallet?

And is this not the default timeout message you should know about? Why you need a screenshot of it?

Latest log, still failing every time I try. bisq.log

@rekcus2 Which country is your bank account? We blocked certain regions because of the chargeback scammer. See https://bisq.community/t/urgent-certain-banks-banned-until-further-notice/7420/37

I disabled tor and used public bitcoin network setting, meaning I give away all the privacy and things I liked bisq for in the first place. You also asked people for their logs in public and now bank accounts so much for privacy focused, gone now ...

My bank is in Germany and I tried take trades from Spain, Ireland just now and also from Germany I think maybe some other. All timeout! You keep suggesting its about your banned accounts and countries as much as you like its NOT about that! And how about if it were actually displaying a message or just hiding those trades from the interface instead in every issue tell people about it. I saw you do it elsewhere as well.

I used BTC for the trade fees.

Where do I see my onion address? I see only "makers onion address" during the process. Isn't asking for this public-ally compromising peoples anonymity? I mean I throw mine away by enabling all those insecure network settings so I can as well post that, went back to default network settings but it bothers me how you claim Bisq for such great privacy and they you ask people for all their logs and info in a fucking M$ owned public platform. So people who want to help fix your broken software get punished for doing so.
