Many tests in the tests/ directory are parametrized. However, there are some aspects of these parametrizations that be made cleaner:

Replace itertools.product by multiple @pytest.mark.parametrize decorators
Use ids parameter of @pytest.mark.parametrize to create clearer string representations of a test
Use pathlib.Path instead of os.path to represent paths as the syntax is much more concise
Move test structures into tests/structure/data/common
