Can users search for a specific model?

It would be useful to enable searching for:

  • an existing annotation in using the model's ID (e.g.: GLEAN or NCBI IDs?).
  • user created annotations using their newly created IDs

How does Web Apollo generate and assign new IDs (is there a convention with letters and numbers? only numeric?), and how does the new ID show up on the track after users publish their annotation? Old Apollo had an 'ID' and a 'symbol', and I am wondering how is it handled now: will symbols be included as synonyms or is there a 'symbol' specific comment option?
