Bug when promote to admin

Describe the bug
When I promote a friend to admin or a friend promotes me to admin, the person who promotes becomes muted and doesn't hear the other anymore.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to main page
2. Click on new room
3. Set it to private
4. Promote someone admin

Expected behavior
Just to promote the other to admin without anything else

Theory: When promoting someone to an admin, the original person is kicked from the room but can't rejoin because they weren't invited and the UI isn't updated to show that.
