Description

History of events from the Beckn One workshop held on October 30, 2024. Reference related details in GitHub Issue #282.

This version (v0.2) of the Beckn One Specification Document will progress on:

1. Registry and Registrar in Open Network Context: Start gathering information and documentation on the registry and registrar as part of the open network context, and also include contributions from the volunteer community.

Consider including an RFC (Request for Comments) as one of the next steps from volunteers.

2. Next Steps - Trust Layer Development: Discussions to finalize the approach for the trust layer, incorporating _cred and _on_cred_ specifications. Once created, these specifications will be released into the BOC environment.

Goals

• Outline the registry and registrar components in the open network context.
• The trust layer specifications, including _cred and _on_cred_. Plan for the release of the trust layer specifications to the BOC environment.
• Include an RFC (Request for Comments) as one of the next steps from volunteers.

Expected Outcome

A detailed specification document (v0.2) for Beckn One, covering registry and registrar aspects and preliminary trust layer elements, including the creation and preparation of _cred and _on_cred_ specifications for BOC release.

Acceptance Criteria

• Registry and registrar components are documented within the open network context.
• Trust layer specifications (_cred and _on_cred_) are drafted for BOC release.
• Specification document v0.2 is reviewed and ready for community release.

Status Update Nov 12:
Made progress on the registry and registrar components; additional updates will be added tomorrow. Will connect with Venky to validate and review the work completed so far.
Also connected with Tanya to discuss her potential contributions to the Beckn One project. Added her to the Signal group and shared the working document link for Beckn One.

Next Steps:
Continue working on registry and registrar, then validate with Venky.
