unable to import pyyaml #124

I have installed pyyaml version 3.12. using python setup.py install

The installation was successful. However I cant import it using import pyyaml

I have the following files in my /usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages:

PyYAML-3.12.egg-info yaml.
