The top level license is a simplified, 2-Clause BSD license.
The code has these "Released under revised BSD license." ... which typically means this is a 3-Clause-BSD

We should update this terse statement to be clearer.

@bastikr while we are at it, your name is spelled Kraemer in the code copyright notices and Krämer in the doc:

copyright = u'2009, Sebastian Krämer'

Which one do you prefer?

I would prefer it written as Krämer. And by the way, thank you very much for the work you are putting into this package! Regarding the licensing issue - I have no preference either way. Are there arguments for one or the other? I guess it really doesn't matter much.

@bastikr there is nothing fundamentally special about one vs. the other. The simplified, 2 clause versions is simpler.
The key is to be consistent.
