Github Issues Badges Broken

Hello,

I was trying out the Github issues badge and I've noticed it's broken for any repo except badges/shields.

For example:

As you can see, it displays "vendor unresponsive" if you actually open the SVG URL.

This is a duplicate issue. There are other issues tracking issues with github badges.

I couldn't find any remaining, open, relevant issues.
