Thank @azlux for maintaining the bot for so long and sorry for being absent from the project for a long time.

Though being away from the project since almost two years ago, those moments seem only like yesterday to me.
I still recall that when I joined the project, it was during the depressing days amid the Covid lockdown and I couldn't see the end of the tunnel... Working on the bot definitely brought me some joy and hope, so that I could make it through those days. I still remember a lot of interactions I had with people in the community. @azlux has always been active and caring, with a good sense of humor. @felix91gr was also a cheerful and helpful guy ready to help. And all the other people who I had the chance to write to on GitHub or the IRC channel... I will remember you all.

It's great to see everyone has moved on in their life in the last two years, having something new to fight for and celebrate. It is also surprising that the user base of botamusique has also been growing during this time. It is great to know that the project we used to work hard on has been and will continue to benefit the community.

However, just like the life journey of a great number of other open source projects, the party has to end somewhere. I completely agree with @azlux that maintaining the bot has been more and more challenging. I also stopped using Mumble a while ago, losing the environment for developing. The whole bot is built on pymumble, which also seems stalled at this point. And the structural problem of the bot warrants a huge refactor that none of us have the time and passion to commission. It definitely took a lot of courage to put an end to a project one has been working on for years. I appreciate @azlux being able to state this out.

In the end, I would like to, again, thank all people I encountered during this extraordinary journey. Thank @azlux for maintaining the infrastructure of the bot and the CI. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

Best,
Terry

Thank you two dearly for all the work you have done over the years and the always consistently friendly nature of the project!

It has brough great hours of joy to the community of the mumble server I host and I assume many many others.

I wish you good health and all the best in your future endeavours!
