Router was keeping info in memory even though I had server off. Resolution: Getting all the info of device (server). Power device down. Reboot router. Manually entered device to desired IP. Saved. Reboot router again. Saved device still showing reserved IP for device. Power up device. Confirm IP. Everything is good. I do not know why the router wanted to be so difficult. The router was supposed to clear buffer when you reserve IP for device and device would get new IP next restart/IP update. |

I created a new Linux box for my server. Dbase transferred fine updated IP. Today, I had power outage. When it came back on, my IP changed. no matter what I do the Dlink router won't hold IP. I use the same hardware for my game servers and I can assign IP's to everything but WoW. I even wiped my router and started over and mapped my IP's. Wow was my 1st game server and same issue. It will not hold. I skipped it and did everything else with no issues. What is it about WoW that Dlink is having issues with? My router has the slide bar to enable/disable IP assignment with box for IP to each device. Anyone else had this issue?
