Have opened a new issue as a talk place: for those who intend to develop this app further and through this way can help each other, when you run into bugs.

Right now I'm running into this error when I import this repo into Android Studio:

Gradle sync failed:
One of setGitDir or setWorkTree must be called.
Consult IDE log for more details (Help | Show Log) (54 s 289 ms)

Hello Klaas, did i have successfully imported the project into my Android Studio 2.3.0. I needed to update my gradle files, but now it is running. I have created a pull request for that on this repo too.

I have not managed to import it all so far, maybe I should try your fork.
