https://github.com/avamsi/codespace/blob/main/setup.zsh is sort of an install script but it also assumes zsh is already installed and is the default shell and brew, cargo, git and go are all installed.

In case of avamsi/codespace, this happens from the config in https://github.com/avamsi/codespace/blob/main/.devcontainer.json.
