Setting Up a Flutter Project

This README file guides you through the process of setting up the Flutter project on Windows and running it.

Prerequisites

  1. Install Flutter by following the instructions in the official Flutter documentation: https://docs.flutter.dev/get-started/install/windows/mobile?tab=vscode

  2. Install Flutter in Visual Studio Code (recommended) or Android Studio.

Steps to Follow

  1. Create a New Flutter Project

    • In Visual Studio Code, press Ctrl+Shift+P and search for "Flutter: New Project".
    • In Android Studio, go to File > New > New Flutter Project.
  2. Open the Project Folder in Explorer

    • Navigate to the folder of the project you just created.
  3. Replace Project Files

    • Unzip the provided .zip file, which contains the updated project files.
    • Copy the files from the unzipped folder into the project folder, replacing existing files when prompted.
  4. Open the Project with Updated Files

    • Open the project folder.
  5. Navigate to the main.dart File in the lib Folder

    • Go to the main.dart file in the project's lib folder.
  6. Build and Run Using an Android Emulator

    • Start an Android emulator or connect a physical Android device.
    • Build the app in the editor you are using. You should now see the app running on the Android emulator or your connected Android device.
