Does not recognize any subtitle format

For those who have problems with Youtube, you can download the video and through another page the subtitles

That's what I've always been doing but, recently my phone broke and I had to buy an emergency one while I save for another one and for some reason this one doesn't recognize the subtitles

Or well technically it does but not always, at this point I don't know if it's the phone have the problem ( an infinix Smart 8 with Android go )or the app

Since I have always downloaded it in downsub on my old phone and it worked, but not on this one, I tried with another page which did recognize them when I downloaded them from there but not the automatically generated subtitles

I tried another page which for some reason recognized it in the .ass format but I don't know if it's a problem of the page but only the times were there, there was no text

I then tried to convert from .srt to .ass but my phone at the moment didn't recognize the .srt, only .txt XD so I searched to convert from .txt to .ass and nothing, at this point help

I don't watch anime but I tried downloading from kitsuneko and it recognizes them, but from another site like downsub which is the one I've always used, it doesn't recognize the subtitles
