Currently, pygenesys carries some datasets in a data directory. However, this is not ideal since it requires path handling. It is better to interface directly with a dataset rather than carry one. Additionally this will enable:

  • users to choose which version of the ATB they use
  • automatic updates for a dataset

This issue can be closed when

  • nrelpy is added to the pygenesys installation requirements
  • interfacing with nrelpy is added to pygenesys
