Not sure whether this is helpful, but obviously one of the downsides of an app like this is that hand-designed puzzles are like a conversation with the puzzle designer that is hard to emulate. Jonathan Blow has put a lot of work into the puzzles that are in The Witness and you just cannot reach that level of care when you randomly generate puzzles.
Nevertheless, I found that some puzzles I encountered were more "interesting" than others:
I guess in these, it's the particular kind of indirection that makes this more interesting. Especially the Glass Factory ones tend to be a bit repetitive, but this one worked better.
The Quarry puzzles are pretty hit and miss for me, but these were some hits.
The Treehouse puzzles were consistently interesting in my experience and these here are some of the better ones amongst an already strong set.
Maybe we could collect some of the more interesting puzzles here to perhaps help improve the puzzle generation.
