As I create various metrics widgets for the consumption of router metrics a couple of things come to mind:

  • It would be a little neater to format the available metrics into tables
  • It might be nice to provide examples of how to consume the metrics from at least one metrics processing provider

Relates to (and possibly even supersedes) #2604, but that other issue has a lot of thumbs up, so if we were to pick "at least one metrics processing provider", Datadog would be a good one to pick.
