before hearing about your project i've followed for a while another RubyOnRails crowdfunding platform:
http://catarse.me
https://github.com/danielweinmann/catarse

on funny side it looks like they also don't have much tests yet :(
"Currently, a lot (lot!) of functionality are not tested. If you don’t know how to start contributing, please help us regaining control over the code and write a few tests for us! Any doubt, please join our Google Group at http://groups.google.com/group/catarse-dev and we will help you out."

maybe by joining efforts we could have one but well tested RoR crowdfunding platform?

Hello @elf-pavlik I've been implementing stripe integration with this project. Along with it I've started adding specs as well. Hopefully that will aid in the test coverage. Expect a pull request tomorrow or the day after.

Since this project is really new, with a combined effort from the community we can push it on the right track. I.e. proper test coverage, documentation etc.

I see a possibility of strategic collaboration, instead of just a technical one. The project seems a very simple platform to put one project online, with the payment system integration. Catarse on the other hand, is a curated platform with lots of projects and a community that are willing to now new projects and back them. So, why not create a channel in Catarse, where we could receive projects from the selfstarter? In this fashion, selfstarter could evolve to be the Catarse's entry point to new projects (as an Engine) without loosing it's original identity of simple-project platform. Any thoughts on this?
