Minimize interactive survey input

in the spirit of minimizing interactive survey inputs, it would be nice to go through all of the surveys and set default values for mandatory input where possible. a couple that come to mind:

• AWS region (default to us-east-2 or us-west-2)
• Environment (default to Dev?)
