Tips

  • Research, research, research!!!
    • We have blogs, zulip conversation history, issue discussions, PR discussions, Past GSoC students have Wiki page on their projects
  • If we're accepted as an org, create a copy of the application immediately and work on it. Students/contributors who submit their completed proposals as soon as it opens get the MOST feedback from mentors and have the strongest proposals by the deadline.
  • For GSoC Students/Contributors, you don’t have time to idly wait for mentors feedback. Quickly look into/work on other tasks on your timeline while waiting for mentor feedback
  • Make detailed timeline of the features you are going to propose and plan how do you achieve your goals
  • Make diagrams to explain the implementation of your ideas.
