What is the expected behavior?

What are the steps to reproduce?

Simply use any card or button components and build in prod mode.

$ ng build -prod # is breaking
$ ng build -dev # OK

Which versions of Angular, Material, OS, browsers are affected?

[email protected], [email protected], @[email protected]

Is there anything else we should know?

Hi,

This is a know issue. Check this 2 issues from angular and angular-cli
#10618
#1662

The problem is in the minify-ing.

If you need it only for one build you can use the master of angular-cli.

This will be fixed in the next release of angular-cli ;)
