Error when using Bower to upgrade to latest release #6400

The following error occurs when updating via bower to versions 1.2.14+

Running Windows 7

bower #1.2.14-build.2302+sha.f827d64 EPERM EPERM, rename 'C:...\bower\angular-16308-vU63xx'

Can you provide more info? What version of bower are you using, what is the exact command that failed, what directory is your project in, what does the directory structure look like, etc.

Afaik, this is not an angular error. This is a bower error introduced after 1.2.6:

#5336

@Narretz Running Bower 1.2.8 will rolling back Bower to 1.2.6 worked.

@caitp running into this when I run bower install from the root of my project directory. All commands are being run from project root.

That's not what I asked ;) But, it sounds like this is determined to be a bower bug, so maybe we should close this

this looks like a duplicate of #5336 Thanks for filing it. Would you mind checking that there is a bug in bower for this. Let us know if there is anything else we can do. Will close for now. Also, thanks @caitp !
